Hey I get it that people spent tons of time and energy on her already and why would you ever want to make it easier for those who haven't. Fair enough. The choice as pointed out was mine and still is. It wasn't after a single small dry streak by the way. It's after many and i'm sure you've all went through them on your journey to get her. I do in fact believe that the vet drop rate is lower than others in that tier. I can look at the rate for death trooper as an example. Nothing as bad as the vets.
I guess my point is that it's a game and should be fun. It doens't sound like any one had fun grinding those two vets out and it sucks that you had to. Because it's a game and I don't find it fun I'm choosing not to and I'm wondering who else is in the same boat I am. I have no one to blame at this juncture apart from myself for not having her. I get it. Heck I'm still not even close.
It's just that while we are all ripping apart the Sith raid and talking about how it's long, boring, torn apart guilds, and it has torn apart mine, a focal point here is Rey and her importance on the raid. With 2.4 MM GP I'm either 1, 2 or 3 in raid ranking in my guild without JTR, but we only do tier 3 right now because it's such a grind. So I can of course damage and run other teams, but Rey is the difference maker to run Heroic or not. It doesn't mean a 50 MM GP guild can all of a sudden do Heroic if everyone has JTR and it shouldn't, but a 100-120 MM GP guild should be able to maybe with other decent teams and strategy. But if the majority of your players don't have her in your guild then forget about it. So why don't people have her, but they have other heroic characters or other hard to farm characters? To me she was the line in the sand of too boring to grind versus seeing it as a challenge and to work for.
Maybe it's just me. I'd be curious to know stats for JTR ownership. How many people actually have her as a percentage of player base. For those who don't it would be equally interesting to know if they are actively farming or not and for those not actively farming are they a truly casual player who doesn't really focus on teams and farm for them or someone like me that just got burned out on her and said forget it rather than let it burn me out for the entire game. Though the Sith Raid is picking up the slack where she left off.
