How does shaman help increase damage of your team so much with just offense up and heals? Wouldn't emperor accomplish the same thing? I just don't see how shaman helps so much

I was also toying with the idea of dusting off Talia and trying her with a zVader team in P2. Her heal also grants TM, her basic heals her, and her special adds a DoT. Shaman's obviously better in almost every way, but I'd love to find a use for poor, benched Talia.
I don't have Zader so haven't tried him, although I'm sure some have tried this toon and it wasn't as successful, but how about Luke? His basic adds a DOT for 3 turns and gives him 40% TM when it crits. When his bullseye crits every 4 turns he can also add speed & defense down for 2 turns.
If you can mod him right with crit chance to guarantee those crits this is viable - but difficult to pick which toon to replace him with though, as the others have more utility, so really he's viable until you get the optimal squad
Who is the main Zader squad out of curiosity? Zader, EP, Shaman, TFP & Boba?
You could run TFP yes, but its mostly Zader, Shaman, Boba, Phasma, zSidious. Phasma for the guaranteed crits on Culling Blade and Execute
