Secret and shadows event difficulty spike

Just try hitting auto and see what happens. I was struggling to get through it on my own but I read over on Reddit to just try auto and I zipped right through,

Why is everyone saying it is RNG based... It's strategy. Try Chopper and not Sabine. Helps a lot. And use the special ability of the event.

Because sometime sid uses his Aoe every turn and sometimes he doesnt even use it. and it takes too long for phoenix teams to kill things, so I autoed the bonus tier until I dont see a "you are defeated" screen. Which was the 7th try I guess. (maybe they play better in auto because they use every skill including special ability?)

In my rounds he sometimes use it twice in a row but with chopper and Zeb in it, you regain your health and protection back till Sids next turn.

I blazed thru the first tier and everything was dandy for the second one untill sidious. His aoe goes off and it one shots pretty much my whole squad and to top that off it doesn’t seem like he can be stunned so I’m at wits end on how I’m supposed to beat this guy

@Talilover , You can check my Phoenix Team that I use to pass all Tier (No zeta and all G8). Tier 1 and 2 I let auto all along and can easy make 3 stars. Tier 3 you let on auto to pass Sidious. Need good RNG to pass with all 5 toons alive. After pass the sidious, I turn the auto off and focus to gain protection and heath for the last fighter with the Nihilus. Try let your taunt/Celerity ready to go and use Hera revive on the taunt phoenix. Most of case, Nihilus will use annihilate on he first move... so, you will revive and fight... I kill first Sith Trooper than Sith Assassin and the last Nihilus. Only need pay attention on the Nihilus annihilation and taunt and use revive on him.

Best approach is to call Kanan to assist, to minimize Sid's damage. Also call Hera to assist a lot, for exposes. Zeb and Sabine's stagger play a huge role too

Bonus tier done for the first time yesterday at first attempt and repeated today at third try with a 70k phoenix squadron team with hera g8 leader, kanan g8, zeb g8, chopper g9 and ezra g11. All modded in general with health and protection. Highly recommended: arrows with accuracy primary for kanan and ezra so that sid can't dodge their attacks so often; a bit of efficacy (and tenacity) is useful for stagger (zeb), expose (hera) and attack down (kanan, very important before sid aoe). The strategy is described very well above. Give phoenix some love and they'll repay you

Edit: all abilities omegaed, no zetas... it is possible

I could beat tier 3 with 67k. If you want to get Thrawn 7*, his ship and to help your guild in LSTB, you should invest in Phoenix anyway.

I did all tiers somehow, even the bonus with 2* (others 3*).
I tried today, but now I fail on the bonus tier every time I try.
