If you time your attacks to right after the Boss turn the damage over time may stick. You will still need Vader with a lot of potency and the ammount of dots will still be less than what you can do against the Rancor/AAT since they don't have this crazy tenacity up.
But it is still boring and time consuming thanks to the huge health pool and the lack of escape button.
