Right on Old Ben. He also gives you almost a second source of ID since he should be dying first.
Chopper is there mainly for the droid synergy, but he also can taunt to protect BB-8 and can remove buffs. With BB-8 and R2 in there your droids would gain 24% TM at the start of the fight which can help get things rolling. Plus Chopper has a chance to give droid allies a couple buffs that can speed up ID.
