Can you explain Bastila's zeta?

Before the zeta she gives + 150% protection and with zeta she adds protection up. How much more prot is that?

Right. She just adds tenacity and taunt. No zeta for her then! ?

That's exactly what turns that team into a functional one, though.
  • It doesn't add protection up, it adds +150% additional Tenacity as long as her original leadership protection bonus is still in effect. It also adds the pre-taunt for any tanks.
  • 150% tenacity (from Bastila’s zeta) makes Bastila Jedi very difficult to debuff. Most debuffs don’t land or stick, so debuff-heavy teams can struggle against them.

Zeta'd Bastila is a hard counter to zEP, and also works well against zCarth.

    Or any other debuff team.
  • zBas is a pretty good zeta. zPalp teams have become so easy for me to beat since I added that zeta.

JKR is still a ways off so I figured it was a good investment.

Bastila's zeta is really good. Before JKR, her zeta leader ability was the undisputed best Jedi lead for pvp. Even after you unlock JKR, zBast can still lead a very tough Jedi B-team in 3v3.

Well, yes, I just wanted to give perspective with a specific example. "debuff team" is kind of vague.

Carth actually works pretty well against zBastila in 5v5. Canderous's tenacity down plus Mission's stacking potency allows them to land DoTs pretty frequently. It's not very good in 3v3, though.
