Help a newb pick his squad!

It's an old school team! :) I would personally sub in Ayala for whatever tank you feel is weaker, ando put Lando in there when you get him. I had a daMN good run with Lando! And he pairs really well with AA. Leia is a baller now. Keep on working on her!

So yeah not sure if this helps but the only problem right now for me is that you have 3 low damage output toons on a team that calls for assists. So you don't want to just hope Leia or Boba get the call. I would probably run Lando lead so Boba gets the speed boost too.

One more little tip, you are going to unlock mods at level 50, I believe. Try to get a decent understanding of them and how you want each character to perform and you can make a jump in arena I would guess. When mods came out I was just putting them on almost at random. Don't do that!

You need to decide what direction you want to go in. Synergy is important, and you started playing at the right time, since several of the original trilogy rebels that you're a fan of just got reworks for CLS. I'd say that's the team you want to work on. SThan, old ben, Leia, and Luke plus a leader. Ackbar is a good choice, but three farms from arena is tough. Alternatively, use one of the 4 previously mentioned rebels as your leader and farm Biggs from GW shipments. Not only are these characters easy farms and good for newer players, but they also are 4 of the 5 req'd characters for CLS and they're favorites of yours. Phasma is a good leader but not as good as she used to be, and she really needs a first Order squad behind her in order to reach her full potential. Aayla is good, but unless you're planning on using Jedi, she shouldn't be a priority. Hope this helps!

I would put AAyla on there without a 2nd thought about synergy. Counter? Stun? Sold. Especially at the stage he is at!

When Akbar calls an assist, is it completely random which Rebel attacks or is is based on speed? I ask because Leia always seemed to assist, which was awesome because she is the backbone of my offense. Then when I added Jyn, who is just as fast, it was usually a toss-up on who would assist.

I'm definitely aware that I needed I needed some harder kitting toons. That's why I started farming Lando in the first place. I a borrowed him and used Double Down twice in a row ... and I was sold on him lol. But he would really be a better leader than Akbar? At this point, I don't see how that's possible. Akbar has the awesome leader ability, gives a % of health for each debuff he cleanses, and isn't the worst damage dealer in the world (especially with Leias X2 Crit hit). I might be missing something though, I am new after all.

About Biggs, I wasn't even going to bother with him until I got Wedge. And I think that's far in the future. At this point I can only buy shards of his for 50 crystals each, and that's not consistent. I was planning on Lando picking up the offensive slack until I could get Wiggs (if they are still viable at that point). But if Biggs is honestly good enough on his own I'll unlock him.

Aayla is probably going to get some love too, simply because I'd also like to get a decent Jedi team going. I already have a decent start with her and Old Ben. Once I get her geared up I'll try subbing her into the arena team. Any suggestions for Jedis that I could start on now?

Thanks for all the help guys. If anything, it's nice to hear that I might have an idea of what I'm doing judging by some of your responses. As far as Mods, I've read that it's usually best to play to your characters advantages and instead of trying to make up for their flaws. Has that been your guys experience or is it really different for every toon/team?

Start farming qui-gon from shipments; he's probably the best Jedi besides GK imo. Anakin is also excellent, but you may not be able to get him atm. You can start farming him from hard nodes and then finish him in cantina once you unlock stage 7. Yoda is good too but he won't be attainable for you for awhile. Ezra and Aayla would be great as well; they're both excellent Jedi that generate extra attacks via assist and counter, respectively. Luminara is decent for beginning players, but Biggs is more important to have later.

Regarding mods, I haven't spent much time on them yet. That's what I'm doing after deathtrooper. From what I gather, the most important thing is getting speed secondaries for your damage dealers. Critical chance is also very good for characters like lando and Anakin, whose abilities add buffs or debuffs (expose on Anakin) depending on how many critical hits they get. It really depends on the character and how you want to use him/her. Here is a link on how to mod each character:

Now I have to decide which tank to use in arena (for teams where two tanks won't have any benefit). Old Ben seems to be the better one right now, but opinions are welcome!

Mods are hard to figure out at first. Any questions and you can pm me man. I am pretty good with them. Aside from getting good ones, I am horrible at that. Just remember to look at secondary stats, namely speed, protection, offense and cc!

Listen to RandyMarsh. A lot of good info in there. OG rebels are pretty good right now. Don't forget to join an HAAT guild ASAP. Be a leech who spends 600 energy a day and does 0 damage runs on every raid. When they start TB, your guild might let you stick around for rewards ;)

I would focus on boba fett, sth, lando for heist. U are stretching urself thin by farming 3 toons from arena shipment. U could already have sth 7* then work on leia or ackbar after that. Lando is a rebel and scoundrel is double effective. Cad bane from gw shipments just completes the scoundrel team. Dont have to get him super strong. Just fill out the roster. I would also consider members of the Phoenix squad since u can use them to get thrawn and ep. Good luck
