IG-86: Why?

IG-86 is terrible. So terrible, in fact, I refuse to promote him. GA benefits aside (but not ignored), there's an argument to be made that you should simply collect his shards, without promoting him, until the game no longer exists. Because he's terrible. As such, I am currently at 5 stars on him (before I knew what I was doing), but now at over 600/85.

Convince me I'm wrong.

I have him at six stars, because now literally any character can be used for anything, maybe even a legendary event.

My favorite thing about IG-86 was that on an all droid team, when he calls the assist, whoever gets called to assist will gain 50% TM and likely take another turn unless they did not crit their last attack. Double points if he calls IG-88, and triple if he has his AOE ready and can attack a third time after that. But now that the TM gain from HK is almost non-existent, I really see zero point for 86.
