Mods for a dummy (Me)

You're not a dummy I'm sure - mods are confusing. Very confusing.

Exactly. Speed is KING in this game. It takes a lot of time and work to get those high speed secondaries and build up those mod sets but it is well worth it in the long run. :smiley:

There are a few websites (crouchingrancor.com) that give advice on how to mod folks. You generally want a speed primary stat arrow (only mod type with speed as primary) and 5-dot mods. The level 1 gold mods are the best as they give better chance of really high stats.

as noted above, when in doubt, speed secondary stats on all mods, expect the arrow (generally only go for speed as primary stat).

Each toons may need a specific mod comp. Sometimes it also depends on where to use (Arena or Raids).
But if you do not want to enter in the art of modding (or the pain)... the basics are:

Speed secondaries on everyone.

Attackers:
(look at what kind of damage your attacker does. If it's physical, go for Crit Dmg, if it's special, prefer Offense)
- Crit Dmg and Crit Chance sets
- Speed Arrow
- Crit Dmg Triangle
- Potency Cross

Healers
- HP and Defense
- Speed Arrow
- Defense Triangle (or Protection)
- Tenacity Cross (maybe Protection since tenacity sucks)

Suppport
- Speed and anything else
- Speed Arrow
- Anything on triangle and cross

Tanks
- HP and Defense
- Protection Arrow
- Protection or Defense Triangle
- Protection, HP or Defense on Cross
