Ships Advice - Is KRU overrated?

Genosian Spy an excellent sub. Spread target lock > stealth with scimitar > one shot a target locked enemy with spy's special.

You'll also feel special because hardly anyone else has it.

The beatthing about kru is that you can get him and his ship at 7 star without distracting from any other ships.

Is he better than Tie Reaper though ? I think KRU is just going to be a placeholder and replace Sunfac until I have tie reaper.

At level 85 do you use more than 2 reinforcements ?

Very rare I use more than 2 subs but those 4 allow me flexibility depending on who I lose.

Yeah that's what I'm thinking. I'm a HUGE fan of Sunfac, I think he's a really underrated ship and if Biggs wasn't so OP he'd really shine but he's a very hard farm, I already have to spend shards on Rex, Maul, Tie Fighter, FOTP Fight, Vader, Slave, Advanced, Scimitar,zetas etc. + as a character he is useless everywhere else but KRU is probably the best FO character right now.

Once you unlock his cantina node, farm him till 7*.
Easiest ship+pilot to farm. My favorite node in the game.

KRU is also a good addition to any team. He can stun for 3 turns and also its cooldown is 3 turns (go figure).

For new players, KRU and his ship is a big boost.
However for older players he would tend to lose a bit of value.

A nice addition, but not a priority for older players.
A must-own for new players.

Now that you mention, a lot of people say to use boba as reinforcement, but that just delays his special, why do people do that ? With tarkin I try to race to use my iwin button, if boba uses his just 1 or 2 turns before me it's usually a win, but if he's in reinforcements he might not get to use it.

He's better as sub if he enters when a few of the enemy has target lock, so he does more dmg straight away. Has to wait / survive if used at start (I always go after Boba first for that reason if opposition start with him)

@Empiric1 As you progress, you won't get to Tarkin's "I Win" button much. It's very important early on (and the best reason to keep your Tarkin geared and abilities leveled from a priority perspective - also a great justification for switching to an EP Lead team, then you can stop stealing gear from your arena squad to spend on your crew and vice versa). It's also the main reason to keep your TFP level maxed - I think the dodge equation uses ship and toon level and many a match has turned on whether or not someone can hit a tie fighter. This also turns out to be the best way to beat a faster Tarkin - just don't target their TFP until you absolutely must, unless it's Vader's turn.

Also, if you don't have any other Cantina Shop farms going, don't sleep on Fives. He's the best counter to the Biggs TL comp since he dispels anyone with TL on his basic, and his special results in a TL and hits all TL'd opponents.

Reaper is a long farm and requires two hard farm toons to support it (Shore obviously stars at the same rate as the ship, but Deathtrooper is a 16 energy Cantina node and there is a lot of competition for that energy). Reaper is viable and five stars and can win you matches IF you're faster on offense than your opponent.

Top 5 on July 16 shard here and I use Tarkin's tie attack on 2 out of 3 turns!
