So I have TFP. I was told he does great damage. He's 7* gear 8. I can barely get 3-4k damage out of him. He never crits. I have hit one crit in weeks. TFP isn't anywhere near an arena toon in a mature shard, but he can do a lot of damage early on when paired with an AOE debuff squad. If you run him with someone like Vader or Tarkin he can shine.

Not everyone gets the same mods. You can excel even with just the basic health set as long as you understand them. Google one of the game-changer videos and mod upgrade flowchart. Id spend all of your cantina ensrgy each weekend farming 5 dot mods. You do get quite a few good ones from the marquee character and assault battle events.

Once you Omega his basic, you’ll get an extra 15% damage there, plus he gets +35% damage for Every Enemy Suffering a Debuff...so that’s a potential +175% damage. As for crits, you need to run a crit damage mod set and a crit chance mod set with a CD (or CC) Triangle and a potency (primary) cross...and lots of speed.

So does that mean I need Jawas for the mod challenge. To be honest I'm not well versed in mods. Or should I do scoundrels for crit chance?

And does that mean I have to farm a whole team just to mod my tfp?! Lol

TFP is awesome on a no tank empire squad... the aoe buff block is a strong skill and he moves super fast under EP lead... His damage is no joke if modded properly.

TFP is cool but nowhere near high tier arena. If you’re asking which character you should use for high damage and speed there’s lots of good answers

Raid han does amazingly
Deathtrooper is great for empire if that’s what you’re running
As far as avoidant high damage dealers go Leia is very good
Ezra does some crazy damage
Ive seen some people mod tarkin do pretty decent damage too
Kylo Ren is one of my favorites for high damage

Lots of good damage out there especially in the harder to get characters

Deathtrooper requires the last stage of the cantina, i think you need level 83 and it takes about 6 weeks to farm. You may not want to commit to farming one guy for 6 weeks in the cantina this early in your game.

Death Trooper is a long farm. He’s useful for the sith raid and needed for TIE Reaper, but the Reaper isn’t a make-or-break ship any more. And since he’s a cantina farm, you have to figure priorities. Personally, once the TIE Reaper lost its status as a must-have ship, I stopped farming Death Trooper for now and decided to focus on other things. But it’s up to you.

TFP's ship sems to be still doing well, so that's another incentive to keep working on him. As others have said, the key to maximizing his damage is to spread the debuffs around.

Mine is 14 months, I'm in the 1-60 range, and I can't remember the last time I saw a TFP. All DS teams are EP Vader Sion DN Thrawn. A few Traya. I think one IPD.

I'm in a nov 2017 shard and I can finish in the top 10 most days. Sometimes top 5.
