Sims 1 bug, can't click on anything when visiting old town

I'm trying to visit old town but the entire menu is mess up, I can't click on anything to visit any of the places.
I included an attachment of what the screen looks like. I really wanted to get a pet but can't since I'm unable to click on anything. :(

An another bug if you date someone out for a date you can't leave the table at all
