Sims 1 Legacy BUG - Gardener not showing up, plants dying
I've encountered a bug where I've hired a gardener but the gardener just randomly stops showing up. I've attached a screenshot showing that I cannot call the Gardener (or maid) because I've already hired them. My flowers and plants are dying because they are not being watered. I cannot fire and rehire the gardener as I cannot call them and they do not show up to be spoken to in person. I also noticed this happened once with the Maid but she showed up after a few days.
sims 1 legacy cant click on anything in neighborhood
Sul Sul! I finally got my sims 1 working, but the neighborhood is untouchable. my "mouse hand" works and the music, but nothing else. anyone else have this issue and can help me. I feel stuck after a few hours trying to get it this far. I feel its something so little and probably right in front on me, but my brain "hurts". I have uninstalled, restated my computer, made a few changes in properties (let me know if there is one I might have missed).
Still having issues - Sims 2000 bundle
I am still having issues with the sims legacy bundle not opening. When I try, I get the 'no Vulkan device detected' message. I have tried looking to uninstall OpenCL and OpenCG and I don't have them installed and when I look for the vulkaninfo, my laptop tells me that there is no info to be displayed. I have (attempted-- not sure I did it right) to update my drivers. I installed the update, still the same message. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the game. Still the same message. I am using the EA launcher. I have included my dxdiag info and
"FIXME: WMP" Red Screen in The Sims 1 – Stuck After EA Logo
Hi. Unfortunately I am unable to play this version of the game. The game launches but gets stuck on a red screen with a "FIXME: WMP" error. You can hear the EA logo sound, but nothing else happens. A similar issue occurs on the Steam Deck, but there, the game eventually loads past it. Unfortunately, this doesn't happen on Windows 10. The WMP fix utility didn't help, and installing Windows Media Player isn't possible. My PC is on Windows 10, newest build. CPU i5, GPU GeForce GTX 3060.
Serious error has occurred loading world
when I try to play sims 3 I get the error “a serious error has occurred while loading <world name>, ive tried everything from turning off my one drive syncing, turning off the virus scanning/protection. (Post is about The Sims 1) Maybe I'm just too old and remember it wrong, but as far as I remember, in The Sims 2, the USEnglish uses 12H clock and UKEnglish 24H clock. Right now there are 2 absolutely identical game locales in The Sims 1 Legacy with the same text and almost no differences (except Vacation being called On Holiday in some places), and both US and UK English use 12H clock. It would be nice if UKEnglish would use 24H clock instead of the 12. Yes, in UK there are 2 systems officially used, 24 and 12, but this way you could allow the people who want to play in English and use 24H clock a convenient option to change language to UKEnglish. Who want still use 12H clock could change the lang to USEnglish and vice-versa. There is a HUGE AMOUNT of players for which English is not a native language and they have no localized version for their language, so they play in English. But the 12-hour system may be very inconvenient for the foreigners. I personally speak English very well, but I would be happy to play the game in English but with the 24H clock. Adding it to UKEnglish would be a best way to use it. As alternative there would be implemented a new game option to use 24 or 12-hour clock system. Also, the more convenient option to change game language in-game would be great.The Sims 1 Legacy fails to work properly on AMD graphics cards
Me and a lot of people who have AMD GPU's are reporting MAJOR performance drops into the low 10's in frames when more than 3 Sims are on a lot, or more apparent in a Community lot, I hope this issue can get fixed because the game is unplayable in this state.
Sims 1 LC - Missing Vacation Icon
Hey, another bug, the Vacation icon is supposed to display over the house of a household that is on Vacation, but it does not show in the Legacy Collection, here is the intended behaviour on Complete Collection: The Icon should fade in when hovering over the house, and the roof should not fade in.Unblock the RU language code (0D / 13) (-lRussian) in The Sims Legacy
There is already a language code for Russian language and it was in-game since the version 1.0 of the Sims. Even more, it seems to be working in pre-release version of The Sims 1 (Edith) but it was disabled later when the text got translated to other languages (except Russian). There is no official translation to Russian, OK, but dear devs can you finally unblock our language code which was intended to be enabled so we could finally make a quality translation mod by ourselves. Right now if you edit the game files with IFF Pencil or other tool and save the string in Russian localization space (using HEX code 0D or 13) and then start the game with the Russian language attribute (like having RUSSIAN in SIMS_OTHERLANGUAGE in Registry or adding "-lRussian" at the shortcut) it just ignores it and run the game in standard USEnglish locale. The problem is that both USEnglish and UKEnglish use 12H clock system which is absolutely makes no sense in Russian language and is hard to get away with it, so when you making a translation just by replacing the English text, this thing just spoils the thing. As alternative I saw the attempts to place the translated text in the Spanish or French locales (which use standard 24H clock) - but that results the Frensh or Spanish text in any additional objects/content when you put it to your downloads folder. This annoys so much. All the game files seems to fully support the possibility of Russian localization support: there is a Russian localization space in all .iff files, there is a mention of Russian in UIGraphics/Res_Languages.h: const Sint32 kRes_LanguageDefault = 0; const Sint32 kRes_LanguageUSEnglish = 1; const Sint32 kRes_LanguageUKEnglish = 2; ... const Sint32 kRes_LanguageFinnish = 11; const Sint32 kRes_LanguageHebrew = 12; const Sint32 kRes_LanguageRussian = 13; const Sint32 kRes_LanguagePortuguese = 14; const Sint32 kRes_LanguageJapanese = 15; ... There is even a separate Russian font folder in UIGraphics.far archive (trough these fonts dosen't support Russian letters actually, but it's not a problem we'll mod them). I've run several tests and right now I'm absolutely 100% sure that the language has been disabled right in Sims.exe: I just put Sims.exe from Sims Edith edition in Sims Legacy folder with modified UIText.iff having Russian strings for splashing messages in Russian localization space (0D or 13). It worked, trough game expectedly crashed soon after the launch, but the strings were in Russian from RU space (not the US one). Can you please just enable this language code again and make the life easier for such a big Russian speaking game community? Just enable the Russian / 0D lang code, we'll handle the perfect translation by our hands! It takes nothing from you, it's literally 1-word code change! Please EA, at the 25th anniversary of the game, can you finally bring us that possibility to have separate Russian line working? If anybody will ever create more objects for The Sims 1 they could finally place Russian translation in Russian line and English in English. I think this is a simple edit manupilation by just adding line 'Russian' next to 'Finnish' and before 'Portuguese' in the game code for Sims.exe so the game can finally load the text from 0D/13 locale. P.S. 'Hebrew' lang code was disabled the same way, maybe you'll have to enable it as well so Russian loc space could work fine, but I'm not sure about itRemove regional differences in NBHD Screen / Unblock all music for non-US locale
Right now there is a difference when you play The Sims 1 Legacy using English language or any other: ENGLISH: the random track from \The Sims Legacy\Music\Modes\NhoodUS plays every time you visit the Neighborhood Screen, including: latin6.mp3 latin7.mp3 nhood1.mp3 nhood2.mp3 nhood3.mp3 - the iconic one which is absent in other languages ALL OTHER LANGUAGES: the random track from \The Sims Legacy\Music\Modes\Nhood plays every time you visit the Neighborhood Screen, including: latin2.mp3 latin4.mp3 latin6.mp3 latin7.mp3 so it basically plays Latin America style music even with European locales. What is the special need for this kind of segregation? in other the sims iterations there is small changes like clockwise or not road traffic, but not the music. Just include the all tracks in all locales, that would be fair. I think that nhood3.mp3 is the iconic one because the music matches the motifs of skill leveling up notification sound. And it exists only in English version. I'm also not sure that there is any sense at having different images with this black (World) or gray (US) asphalte roads in NBHD Screen like NScreen_unleashed.bmp and NScreen_unleashed_nonus.bmp from \The Sims Legacy\UIGraphics\Community. The black looks closer to the actual in-game lots using black asphalte tiles, and the US version has the gray asphalte and the road marks. If only black version could have these marks it would be perfect. Right now black roads looks unnatural without these separation lines.
Sims 1 Legacy Edition crashing and restarting computer
Today, I purchased The Sims 1 and I was so excited to play. I started the game, and after around 10mins of gameplay it crashes and my computer restarts. It done this 7 times. I've done all I can find online to try and fix it, but nothing is working. The Sims 2, The Sims 3 and The Sims 3 all work perfectly fine. It's just seemingly The Sims 1. When it crashes, my laptop screen goes blue and says "your device ran into a problem, we will restart the device now." It's so frustrating, cause people have spent a lot of money. Myself included.
Still Crashing to desktop despite patch on 2/6
My game, despite the patch today, still crashes after 10 seconds of being in-game. This growingly frustrating as I bought the bundle for a pretty penny, and I can't even play it now. Same with Sims 2, it's constantly crashing as well despite the patches. I don't get any error message, it just crashes to desktop. I have tried all the tips and tricks in forums threads here, on reddit, on steam. Nothing works.
The Sims: Legacy Collection – Sim Thumbnail Stuck with Headphones
After recording in Studio Town, the sim thumbnail bugged, showing them wearing headphones in conversation icons, reactions etc. To fix it, you need to change the outfit in the wardrobe. This issue did not occur in The Sims: Complete Collection I don't use any mods or CC in my game
