Experiencing frequent lagging and shuddering after recent update for Sims 1.
I don't like having to complain on these forums but I'm not seeing any solution to the issues after these updates. My last post was about the UI scaling being too small and really difficult to see. This was the only issue that I really had apart from the game crashing whenever the burglar turned up. However, the burglar thing was resolved. After the last update I saw no improvement to the UI size but only more issues. Even when i changed the settings in the game. Since the update, my game is now lagging quite a lot and shuddering. It's jerky as and it was working completely fine before this update so its NOT my PC and I'm getting annoyed with EA assuming it is. It's not just me experiencing that. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the game 3 times, I've removed custom content and nothing has fixed the issue. I'm disappointed because the sims 1 is one of my favourites and now I can't even play it because of this shuddering. Its just too frustrating. Edge scrolling still doesn't work now either when it did before the update. Can you please just figure it out and fix it already. Here's a tip. Before you release a game, get a whole heap of people from the general public to test the game on their personal PCs so you can see how it goes for all different systems/set ups. In fact, I'd be happy to test it for free myself with my friends. It's not hard and then you could release the games confidently so you don't have to be harassed from us gamers lol. I'm sorry but I don't understand how such a massive company doesn't consider this. If it's about the money, people will be happy to spend more if you give the people what they want. Simple.
questions regarding a slur in the sims 1 and 2
hello, this post is more aimed at the actual sims team, but i want to confirm something as you have started reselling the sims 1 and 2 for modern devices. In both of these games, they have the g word ( a word used against roma people). Has this been removed from the games before them being republished?
The Sims™ Legacy Collection is NOT Launching
The Sims™ Legacy Collection on Steam was working (launching>running) fine about a month ago, but now the game is not launching, despite trying several solutions that I found online. The game logo briefly appears in my taskbar and then disappears. The game doesn't run, and the Steam button just switches back to "Play." OS Name: Microsoft Windows 11 Pro Version: 10.0.26100 Build 26100 Please fix and propose any solutions. Thank you.

Sims 1 Legacy too zoomed in and blurry
I've been playing since the Legacy version was released. I had relatively few problems and the scaling was fine, everything looked really nice still and was clear and readable. I just launched it for the first time in about a month, and suddenly it's all blurred and in terrible resolution. I've changed nothing on my computer, everything is the same as it was when I first played. Did an update mess something up, or did something else happen? I'm running Windows 11, 1920x1080p, new-ish graphics card (Nvidia model within the last few years). Basically nothing has changed, I haven't even changed any system settings.Brand New PC... Hey, everyone. I've attached the specs of my new PC here. Any ideas on how to get the game to start? I just get a black screen and sometimes some sound. It messes my PC up so much that the task manager even crashes. The EA Error Reporter app just freezes when I try to submit a report. Insanely frustrating!
The Sims™ Legacy Collection won't Launch - Crashes without error
Hello! I recently updated my PC to have a RTX 5080 graphics card and AMD Ryzen 9 9900X3D processor. It runs Windows 11 Pro. After reinstalling The Sims™ Legacy Collection, it fails to launch. Crashing immediately, without any error messages. The icon just flashes in the task bar. I have been looking through the forums and none of the suggestions have been able to help me resolve this issue. I have tried the following: Have the latest version of the game installed Installed the latest windows updates Updated my graphics card drivers Configured windows to launch the game in low power mode Tried launching the game in Windows XP compatibility mode - as administrator Tried reinstalling the Microsoft redistributables from 2015 and newer. Collected my DxDiag and Vulkan info logs Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks!
Sims 1 Legacy BUG - Gardener not showing up, plants dying
I've encountered a bug where I've hired a gardener but the gardener just randomly stops showing up. I've attached a screenshot showing that I cannot call the Gardener (or maid) because I've already hired them. My flowers and plants are dying because they are not being watered. I cannot fire and rehire the gardener as I cannot call them and they do not show up to be spoken to in person. I also noticed this happened once with the Maid but she showed up after a few days.
Unable to perform any social interactions between household sims
In the Sims 1 i played normally for a few in game days but suddenly I am no longer able to have the two sims interact with each other at all. controlling one and clicking on the other just brings up the message that there are no interactions available. i have tried restarting the game to no luck.
Sims 1 + 2 Not Working, Parallels [Mac] ONLY

Sims 1 not launching has a master thread here: The Sims 1 Crashes on Launch | EA Forums - 11850467 -puzzlezaddict Anyone having trouble opening the Sims 1 and 2 from the EA app. Have not been able to get the Sims 1 open at all, but I did get the Sims 2 to open once, but now it crashes upon opening. I am using Parallels on Mac, but from what I seen, that is not the issue.
Stuttering when moving mouse.
I've recently changed from an intel MacBook Pro with windows 10 to a HP gaming laptop. The Macbook played the game fine, but now that I have a my new computer moving the mouse makes the game stutter. The whole game can grind to a halt if i rapidly move my mouse pointer around. It doesn't matter if I use the trackpad or an actual mouse. I should add that i've noticed that moving the mouse doesn't cause lag if you move the camera. So if I hold the right mouse button while the game is running the stuttering doesn't happen. Another thing i've noticed is that the mouse cursor flickers while playing. I did a clean install of Windows 11 and installed the game first thing, and the issue is still there. I conclusion, whenever I move the mouse cursor in game the game stutters and the cursor itself flickers. I've been doing some research and other people have reported similar issues in other games, their culprits are everything from background programs/apps to mouse polling rates. I've tried it all.
