Sims 1 objects glitch.
When I load a household in the Sims 1, none of the items or walls load correctly. Sometimes they appear when a Sims uses them autonomously but will disappear again once they’re done. When exiting to the neighborhood, the household creates visual glitch on map when saved. I’ve tried restarting the game, computer and “repaired” it on the EA App but nothing seems to work. Huge letdown.
The Sims 1 Legacy Makin' Magic Missing Gameplay features
The Sims 1 Makin' Magic originally had a gameplay feature in which as you go to the magic world and create crystals, duel with other sims and create spells spells, some magic crystals and trees would randomly appear on your lot. Those crystals would give the sim magic powers (like teleport). I've been playing the Makin' Magic and created almost all the crystals and spells from the spell book and not a single one has yet appeard. I really miss that gameplay feature
The Sims 1 Legacy Cannot Wash Pets
So I'm struggling here. I have a pet, and have grinding my tricks, obedience ect, but come to find out I thought my sim was washing my pet but doesn't actually do it. So he fills the tub, calls, and then it drains immediately. I've put the wash station against the wall, outside, in an open space. The pet will be directly next to the tub. Deleted the tub, bought a new one. Nothing I do will get my pet to be cleaned, and now the pet will run away. Any ideas?
Sims + Sims Packs not loading properly
Hello, I downloaded the sims and sims 2 when they went for sale last year. I just tries to launch the sims 1 for the first time yesterday and it isnt working. It keeps closing and flashing to my desktop every 3-5 seconds. Anyone have this issue or know how to fix it? Ive already tried hitting "repair" on the game and nothing
The Sims Legacy Collection Thai language displays many NPCs as “เรตติ์”
The Sims: Legacy Collection (Steam) – Thai language issue with NPC names I am playing The Sims: Legacy Collection on Steam using the Thai language. Many NPC names are displayed incorrectly in Thai. In the phone book, multiple different NPCs appear with the same name “เรตติ์”, even though they are actually different characters. I tested the following: Verified all game files through Steam successfully. The issue occurs in Neighborhood, Downtown, Studio Town, and Magic Town. Switching the game language to English restores the correct names (for example, Christine Somebody and Wesley Somebody). NPCs are still different characters and function normally. The issue only affects the displayed names in Thai. This appears to be a localization or translation issue in the Thai version of The Sims: Legacy Collection. Thank you. ❤️
The Sims: Vacation - no cleaning plates
Hi, I have been playing the sims after buying the 25th anniversary bundle. I built my own vacation lot, however whenever my own sims stay there the sims working don't clean up the plates, so the whole room gets filled with them. I've checked other vacation lots and have the same items, 2 dishwashers and the rubbish compactor (unsure of the proper name, but the machine version of the trashcan). I've tried putting them in different places and have added a sink which my sims can access. Any ideas on where I'm going wrong or if its a bug?

I bought the game on both steam and EA and neither have any working audio. It appears there are sound and music files in my local directory. I made sure my audio drivers are up to date, no spatial/5.1. All of my other games work with the same configuration. Does anyone have any solutions? The game sound works on my wifes identical PC with steam.
Click and censorship visual glitch
Hi, how are you? I recently purchased The Sims Legacy and noticed that when I open the interactions menu in Live Mode (to click on the ground, an object, a Sim, etc.), I get a visual glitch. This also appears in the censorship when my Sim takes a shower or goes to the bathroom. I don't know how to fix it, and while it doesn't prevent me from playing, it's quite annoying. Hey guys, I just bought sims 1 legacy off of steam for the nostalgia but when I try to load it a little tab in my windows bar opens and instantly shuts again and that's all that happens. I looked on reddit for answers and they got me to download the old 64 and 86 copys of c++ and to change my compatability to windows xp. I did all these things and now when i load as administer it almost loads up (screen goes black, pixels get blown up to adjust to the old style and then it shuts down again. Now I cant edit the compatability setting and I cant get any further. Why would someone sell a game on steam that doesn't work. This is a big company. Can someone help me make a game just play please. Shouldn't have to get techy to play a game on steam. Might as well of pirated it at this point.
Please add a feature that allows changing the grass color of lots in The Sims 1.
I have long wished to change the terrain color of the default neighborhood lots to a sandy shade like the beachfront lots in Downtown or a snowy shade like the winter lots in Vacation. However, the game does not provide this feature by default. That’s why I now hope to be able to freely change the grass color of lots, as shown in the image below.2 bugs that’s driving me insane
I never had these issues when it came to the complete collection… But in Legacy collection from steam I’ve ran into two bugs that’s annoying me dog baths don’t work at all, I action it my dog comes to me then both cancel the interaction which leaves my pets staying RED in hygiene… please fix dirty plates don’t get cleaned or removed from floor , counter, table etc from either the maid, butler or my own sims. I have to do it manually which is insane… please fix
Question about third-party Custom Content managers for The Sims 1
Hey there! I wanted to ask if there are any known restrictions or guidelines regarding third-party tools that manage or distribute Custom Content for The Sims. I'm currently researching the development of a third-party tool for managing CC in The Sims 1 as part of a capstone project. The idea is to build a mod manager capable of organizing, downloading, and installing custom content, with a possible integration to an external website where creators could upload their mods and players could download them through the application. A very early prototype of the tool already exists in a limited form (called TS1-ModLoader) which focuses mainly on detecting file conflicts. The goal of the project would be to expand this concept to include mod hosting and automated installation. The tool would not distribute any original game files, only user-created content. If there are any policies, documentation, or guidelines related to this (or if there is a better place to ask about it), I would really appreciate being pointed in the right direction.
The Sims 1 Legacy Still Cannot Launch on RTX5080
The game just simply crashes without any info every time I open it. I tried lots of compatibale solutions like using AMD CPU HD Graphics to launch the game. These just won't work. I wonder if there is a way to run the game without resintalling old drivers. Cause using old drivers will cause low FPS or bugs on some new video games. Does Maxis ignore all the existing problems on Sims1&2 Legacy and do nothing now? I am really looking forward to a new update patch to solve the problems.
