Jamiecollins03 Your dxdiag doesn't list any Sims crashes, but I do see a crash of an unspecified driver. Try disconnecting all peripherals, including a mouse if you're using one. Restart your computer afterwards and before trying to play.
If that doesn't help, as an experiment, try forcing the game to use your laptop's integrated graphics chip. Right-click the desktop, select the Nvidia Control Panel, choose Manage 3D Settings > Program settings, find sims.exe on the list, and set it to use integrated graphics.

Hello, may I also have some help? Dxdiag attached.
Was working perfectly fine yesterday, started crashing earlier today. First once every couple sim days, and now crashes within a minute of loading up the family. :(
I've restarted my laptop
Unplugged cooling fan, mouse and charged, restarted laptop again. Has made no difference
