Sims 1 Will Not Open
I have tried right clicking the icon and running as administrator, hitting play on the ea app, and just clicking the icon and all just redirect to the EA app and do not launch the game.

I’m having the same problem. Literally just downloaded it and cannot open it.
LuluWolf julialorraine Please try uninstalling all your 2015 and newer VC++ runtimes (not the older ones, leave those alone), and reinstalling both the 2022 x86 and x64 versions. More detailed instructions are here:
