Sims Legacy still won't open despite 2/12 update

I still am having the same vaulkan error after today's(2-11-25) update. tried repairing thru the EA app also.

    Hi all,

    This issue was resolved in today's patch:

    • Some players who have experienced problems with getting an error indicating a lack of Vulkan compatible devices have reported that in some cases removing "OpenCL™, OpenGL®, and Vulkan® Compatibility Pack" can resolve the issue

    If you're still experiencing this issue, please create a new thread so we can continue to investigate.

    Getting frustrated with EA with having no communication on what to expect.. Still having the vulkan error as many others, yet this thread has been marked as ‘solved’ and other related threads are being told to come here. Do we expect an update that will actually do something to fix the issue now 3 weeks later? Or do we all need to put chargebacks on our cards for buying an item not as described to get forced refunds? :(

    I still can't play because of this Vulkan error.

    Why can computers run all the Sims except Sims 1 Legacy? This is the only game that won't run on my computer.

    My graphics card is Intel Iris Graphics 6100, some people say it's not compatible with Vulkan. But why wasn't this mentioned in the requirements? And it doesn't make sense for my computer to run all the games and all the Sims except Sims 1 Legacy.
