I know this thread is a couple of months old but I dug these up from ages ago:
i.imgur.com/TLgvFcE.jpg : pretty sure I discovered this bug, if you cancelled cleaning plates as soon as you picked them up you could stack them indefinately, from what I remember you could even jump off a diving board with a huge stack of plates in your hand....
