hahaha lol re the Sims 1 scenario I will take note that while you can get up and forget 3 without much happening and 2 you have to be much more careful it appears 1 beats them all for not taking your eyes of them :)
yeah I heard about them not coming back from boarding school in 1 but I thought children did not age up unless a spell was used? so what age is Cassandra? and what the heck happens to children when they cannot grow up and a spell is not used to age them up? can they live on their own somewhere with other no longer wanted children :)
I suppose that's where the rotational play comes into play as you can fill your hood with different sims/families and play them when you feel like playing that story-line ...
mmm Qdog said something akin to playing 4 is a little like playing angry birds and I can relate to that... In some ways I can just play but then I want more to do than just play so its back to 2&3 where I can developed my hoods/worlds more my way.. I think there is too little space for that in 4... I think to be fair if you just want to play a game and nothing more its satisfying enough for that but for players who have been with the sims since the beginning or are used to having a lot more choices I just don't think its enough...
What really worries me about 4 is this relationship decay you mentioned as it takes a while to make friends and I want my sims to be able to keep those relationships so did you find anything to fix that? - MidnightAura8610 years agoSeasoned Ace@SPARKY1922
The children don't age in TS1 unless you use a spelll in making magic. Cassandra is a child, she was sent to military school for very poor grades. The social worker in the game only removes babies if they are neglected, they don't remove children if there is a neglected baby in the household.
Children sent to military school are out the game completely. They don't appear in the Sim Bin.
I completely agree that when you want to be truely creative most Simmers I know go back to the previous games. I love being able to build neighbourhood from scratch in the sims 2, I love owning businesses (although I am very bad at it!) and I love filling up my neighbourhoods. It's completely personal to me in the sims 2, as everyone's game is.
I try and fill all my neighbourhoods in the sims 1 too. It's a bit more challenging as sims don't age but it's a lot of fun. I don't have to worry about stuff happening I didn't want.
Can you create a world in TS3? If you can I've never noticed or know how lol But I love being able to recolour everything in the house and make it unique, I can be creative but I feel I have more freedom in The Sims 2.
To stop relationship decay MC command centre will be your best bet as it has a ton of options around relationships and it can also take away any romantic interests your sim has developed in your absence. - @Goldbear86
That's it then the perfect way to get rid of children in sims 1-)
I will have to look at MC properly sometime soon but have spent all my spare time today testing another batch of mods in 2 so tomorrow I can start testing CC, its like so many sims series so little time :)
In 3 you could basically bulldoze the whole world's builds/lots but you would really need to keep the rabbit holes as these are tied to learning and careers etc or you could replace some of them with player made multi rabbit hole lots so there is more room in the world for you to add your own lots, however you would only be able to replace any bulldozed lots with the lots of the same size and you cannot just plonk lots down anywhere in the world like you can in 2.
The only way to change the world outside the perimeters mentioned above would be by using CAW and I have no experience of that at all and nowhere near enough knowledge to try it..
There is a CAW tutorial should you wish to take a look

I thought that was all you could do without using the CAW tool in the TS3. I do like putting buildings in my game but I don't actually tend to change too much of my game.
I think that's why I don't get that frustrated with any of the games because if a particular version doesn't offer it, another certainly will! - @Goldbear86
It depends how many expansions/stuff packs/store content you have and what sorts of things you like to have in your worlds? I like everything in my worlds utilizing all the expansion/stuff packs and store content for my sims to enjoy in one world and that can be quite difficult in smaller worlds so I often use Lucky Palms or Roaring heights because they have a lot of different sized lots that are already empty so I can add my favorite lots without too much rearranging.. However now I have found that remake of sunlit tides that has everything already in the world that's going to be my go to world for now.. and so 3 is taken care of but I still have to add/test all my mods/cc yet as well..so there is still a lot work to do before I am finished..
I can quite understand why simmers we want everything we like from other series in one complete series because lets face it one game like that would be completely awesome and I actually think it would be doable if a company was interested enough :)
Finally my tech got in touch and the delay is that he is waiting for parts I mean where are they coming from Timbuktu :s - I just bought the Sims 1 yesterday, and let me tell you, I am HOOKED! This games is so much better than T$4.

Sure thing, the next time I play I'll try to remember to take pictures. Is there a folder where the in game screenshots will go?- i was just building a house in ts1 yesterday :D it's so funny because there's so many limitations :p i tried to go for a victorian look but it's really hard when you can only have 2 stories lmao! didn't take pictures yet cause i'm not done with furnishing :)

I am not a builder of any series I am really bad at it but what you describe sounds quite difficult lol I remember when I first fired 1 up and thought it was a joke as all I could find were 3 floor coverings and of course nothing matched-) Could you please explain to @TheOrangeBird01 where the sims 1 pics go as I forget and don't want give wrong information..
Also can we use player made builds in sims 1 and add them to the game? If so just wondering if yours might be available in future ( she says hopefully-) Oh and of course some nice pics when you are done.. I just love looking at pics I will be taking loads when I get my laptop..
