sims 2 will not install it just says blocked by administrator all the videos on line i've tried have failed to work. Windows 10

It is still possible to run the installer using the Command Prompt.First, you will need to figure out which drive your game disk is in, e.g. D:, E:, etc. Once you know that:Search for Command Prompt in the Start menu, right-click on it and Run as Administrator.It should say C:\WINDOWS\system32>Now you need to switch it to the drive your game disk is in, so if it is in drive D:, just type in D: and press Enter. If it is in drive E:, then type in E: and press Enter, etc.After it switches to the drive you want, type in AutoRun.exe and press Enter. The installer should run without the error.EDIT, because I have no idea how I didn't remember this sooner. Just set the time back on your PC, preferably to the year the game/pack was released, and it should get rid of the error. You can change it back after the installation is done.

THIS WORKED!
I had this issue as well and it has been driving me mental the past hour or so, and using your solution with the cmd prompt has worked! My Sims 2 Double Deluxe is installing as I type! Thank you for your answer, this helped me a lot.

I don't know why Windows is doing this. It would be nice if it would just let us use our disks like we're supposed to. Thank you again! <3

Another method (the one I use bc the cmd prompt one doesn't work for me) is to open task manager, click create a new task, browse for the .exe you need to boot sims 2 (or the autorun on the disc), and make sure you tick the box that references creating the task with administrator privileges or whatever. Works for me. It's how I have to install like 3 or 4 add-ons and also launch the game.
The wording is not exact. But that's the gist of it.

I tried doing that what you said but it didn’t work and I have a learning disability so I get confused sometimes and not understanding or knowing how to do things correctly so please help explain what to do because I don’t understand and is it a drive like the game thing to play your game in because I even had my dad and I’m 33 years old but I still live with my parents so I hope you understand I need help please 🙏 also sorry about my not taking a picture of my computer game but I was out of town yesterday morning and part of the afternoon of yesterday and Monday night and Monday morning so I’m back now but my computer is not hooked up right now so I took a picture of my tv

Just wondering if the sims 2 games will be able to run if I have a Windows 11 update and again it would be nice if you could help thx a ton and I don’t know what to take a picture of so I’m going to take a picture of my sims 4 game since it’s about the sims but I don’t know if you feel scared because I have a learning disability and that’s why you’re not helping but again I would really appreciate it if you could help because I’m good at some games but I’m not good at computers
