cc folders question

There isn't a limit on it, that I know about. Still, the more sub-folders you have the slower; the bigger the name of the folders and the CC the slower.

I don't know. I've not seen any information on how deep the game can handle the folders. I don't go more than 4, myself, and never have had any problems- only bad CC problems. :(

Can you organize it to only 4 deep?

Just chiming in as I've heard of this problem before (though I cant now recall where, probably here on the forums sometime). And from what I recall of what I read, the advice was not to put things into CC folders more than 3 deep.

I'd suggest trying that, see if it helps?

I heard there wasn't a limit, but I only go three or four deep myself so I have never had a issue.

the things show up when i move them nearer under the Downloads, one folder under Downloads

but the really funny thing is, some files work farther back & some just refuse to, that's what's buffling me
some files just seem to accept only one folder away from Downloads while other are fine with 4 folders down from it

& i am so used to how convenient i can assort the folders in TS3, that i have first to get used to all the folders starting to pile up now directly under Downloads & filled with all sorts of files
at least TS2 has that great working in game collections system with even icons i can put into it, i am really grateful for that

Try deleting your object thumbnail cache and see if that helps. Some cc needs a different program than CEP, it's named something else with some cc I got from some sites, and if I don't have their version of a CEP type program installed that cc will not show up, even if it is closer to the top of list. And I suspect the reason for that in my game is because they are conversions from other games like Far Cry, AC, Silent Hill etc.

ETA: It's a known fact some cc is not filterd into the right categories like you will find some wallpaper at the end of the thumbnails when looking in game, but they should be at the front etc. (their thumbnails). The TS2UC is a mess when it comes to how it sorts cc. We used to could depend on cc being at the front of a category, but not anymore, you may have to flip through several pages to see someting but when it was just EPs etc. separately any cc was always set by cost and any floors or wallpapers were always at front, but TS2UC doesn't organize these things that way anymore. I have noticed this many times. And it could also be the creator, too. There is an article somewhere over on MTS about this. However, it's also a known fact some cc and or especially mods may not work if they are in subfolders.

I have the same issue and trying to fix it right now. Sometimes it's all there and then poof!

Some of my custom content is not showing up in CAS. Specifically male hair. The hair that I have previously downloaded works and all female hair works, just not new male hair. I know it's not because of the creator because of all of the male hair mods (including the ones that work) are from the same two creators. I also know it is not a resource.cfg issue as I have already checked that it is at the latest patch and my folders are not deep anyway. I also know it's not a compatibility issue because I took out all of my hair mods (leaving just the new ones) and the new mods still did not work.

Make sure when you install cc you see the file called Mesh included. But some creators make the mistake (sometimes) of naming their meshes the same thing...that can also be a problem. Make sure you have the last CEP installed.

there must be some remedy to that
