Getting bored

Question

I got T he Sims 2 Legacy Collection since its release date and I am getting bored. Obviously like everyone else I had a butt load of problems but that has been dealt with for the time being. The game play will always be top tier compared to the other sims games. But now the sims are starting to bug me, no matter what I try to do they all pretty much look the same. I really need EA to get it together and add the Sims Bodyshop to game. Bodyshop is one of the most important functions within the game and without it the game just seems lackluster.

It seems some modders have uploaded a version of Bodyshop that's compatible with the Legacy Collection (available, among others, via Mod The Sims). I wonder why EA didn't include it, it would make so much sense. I was trying to do the Not So Berry challenge as adapted for Sims 2 (found it on Tumblr, I think) but had a hard time creating the first Sim since mint isn't a colour you encounter often in the game. Even the option of changing the Sim via a mirror doesn't give you more options, and the only vaguely mint-coloured haircut is terrible. I haven't downloaded and installed Bodyshop yet because I decided to ditch the challenge after a while and instead just play freestyle.
