Honestly I'm not sure, it could be due to the lot's function though you would think that they should be able to pay their dorm fees? Though since it's in a regular neighbor hood it could also be recognizing it as a community lot rather than residential?

No idea, it started happening when I would move my sims into a premade dorm. Lol, glad you caught that :smiley:
I've experienced this glitch a number of times. I know I've experienced it with premade dorms. I don't remember if any of my occasional custom dorms were affected or not. Nor can I remember any common theme between affected lots that wouldn't be applicable to non-affected lots.
I do use a LOT of mods with Sims 2, so I don't know if there's some random glitch caused by one of my mods.
