SAME! worked fine for months after i upgraded to windows 11. Win10 had tons of crashes but Windows 11 worked right off the bat. but then one day an EA update happened and couldn't play anymore, it would just shut off during loading screen without any error message. so last night I did a "manage -> repair files" from the EA app. then of course the usual: delete cache files & also deleted all the thumbnail folders. I CAN NOW PLAY AGAIN! Never had to delete thumbnail folders before, only the cache files but i saw people mentioned that in the past. took a while to load but not that bad. I have 13GB of mods & CC, and my main hood is ALL beach lots. I hope this works for you! (repair files, delete cache files, delete thumbnail folders). try not to have anything else running (I had YT up and it took longer).

I rarely think to mention it when I tell people to delete the cache files, but mentally I include thumbnails in that. I don't know what Sims 2's issue with cache is, but it seems to get corrupted and muck up the game if not regularly deleted.
