The Sims 2 Windows 7-10 Fixes
It's not uncommon to have problems with The Sims 2 on Windows 7, 8, 8.5, and 10. I've had all of these versions of windows and had trouble running The Sims 2 on all of them. The Sims 2 is my favorite Sims game so naturally I searched the internet for fixes and Troubleshoot Forums. Here's what I found: Black Flickering This is caused by your graphics card not agreeing with the game. Turn Shadows to Medium or turn them off completely. That's the simplest fix. If you're also having any of these: Screen flickering, Black screen, graphical errors, pie menus won't load, gameplay errors, shadows still flickering, mods won't show up. First, before doing any more fixes, remove your mods folder and all mods if you have any, just to be safe. Second, download Graphics Rule Maker from SimsNetwork: http://www.simsnetwork.com/simpedia/the-sims-2/editions/the-sims-2/specials/graphics-rules-maker-improve-compatibility-with This program, (Virus free, I checked) is made to fix all the problems listed above except for the mod issue. Let it find your Sims 2 game, add your graphics card to its database, set your screen resolution, and apply the fixes. (But try to avoid using all the fixes if possible) I personally used this and it fixed my Sims 2 game 110%. Looks better than it did before. Now for the mods, check the in game options, there's a section to toggle the mods on and off. Check on and that should fix it, if it doesn't then its a deeper problem. So there ya go! Is there anything I can do about ghosts and tombstones that's safe for my game?
So I did it, I managed to extract one of my original sim couple, from the relationship, with great difficulty, after another Sim I had an interest in, met him by chance in a public place downtown, and there was nothing wrong with that original Sim. Apparently it was only his husband who can't talk or interact with not only him, but with anyone. But I couldn't divorce them because they had no interactions available. So I had to go guerilla and kill off the corrupted sim. Horrible, but I managed, even though he could somehow glitch through the walls around the swimming pool so that didn't work...locking him out o fthe house in winter did the job. Not pleasant but necessary. So I have a new couple and all is well in the manse, except the ghost of the corrupted sim husband keeps coming around, and no one can interact with him but he still breaks things. I've heard it will corrupt my game to delete the tombstone, but is there any way I can send this ghost to the great beyond? Unfortunately due to a cow plant, there are now two more tombstones on this lot and their ghosts, as well. realizing this was just going to keep compounding, I deleted the cow plant but am afraid to delete the tombstones. What do you do about ghosts in general, and especially about a ghost you can't interact with at all? Is there anything I can do other than move off the lot?
CEP Installation Help
Howdy peeps. Unfortunately, a few weeks back I lost everything on my pc when I had to do a new re-installation. Now... in the past I have had no problems installing TS2UC, or any of the extra bits of software. But this time I just cannot get CEP to install. I read up on it and it seems that it has trouble installing due to the new set up of the UC and where files are located, so there is a manual installation one available. Trouble is, the instructions for putting all the bits in all of the places are wrong for me - I do not have the folders listed and therefore don't know where to put the bits. Is anyone able to help please? I am on Windows 7, I installed the game through Origin and it is the Ultimate Collection.
Need Help Changing Resolution for The Sims 2
Hi, I bought The Sims 2 on disc. I have installed it fine, but the resolution is stuck as 800 x 600. There is no option to change it. I have tried editing the game files like people have suggested for the complete collection but I can't save the file once I edit it. So that option doesn't work for me. I've also tried talking to someone at EA support about getting the ultimate collection but they told me they don't give it out anymore. I don't want to play the game in low resolution as it looks bad. Am I doing something wrong? Why can't I edit the game files like everyone else can? I can't delete them either... Is it possible for sims 2 discs to work on windows 10. I have seen tutorials and read about the ultimate collection on windows 10 but cant find anything about the disc version, as I missed out on uc it might be the only way I can play sims 2 again. Any advice would be appreciated.
