Did You Mind The Mild Autonomous Violence in TS2?

For purposes to gather if TS2, TS1, or TS3 had too much violence (all rated Teen/ mild violence) information, would you say the mild autonomous violence in the games especially TS2 was too much, just right or over the top? Examples of automous violence in the games are as follows: slapping the Sim silly, the finger poke in the chest, the nose flipping, the playing torture between kids bothering each other, the insulting leading to crying or slapping, the shoulder shove. Note, these are all mild violence examples in the games from TS1-TS3. And can be done automously by a Sim who is mad about something etc. or just their mean personality. Violence in games would have more blood etc. Mild violence is a teen rating with some mild blood if necessary. Vote how you felt about the mild violence (disregard any actual fist to cuffs in the games since that was a little bit more involved than someone shoving a shoulder, or flipping a nose).

I've never played TS2, but from what I just read, I would love that in TS4.

EDIT: You know, I hear a lot of love for TS2. I'm beginning to think about purchasing it. If I could find it, at least.

Go to help.ea.com, find The Sims 2 base game, click promotions as your topic and do a live chat or have them call you. Tell them you heard about a Sims 2 give away a while ago and we're wondering if you could get a copy. You might have to try a couple of times as some operators will want proof that you owned the Sims 2, but others will look at your origin and see you own the Sims 4 and consider that good enough. I just did this 2 days ago and it's downloading right now. I had to try twice as the first time I tried I selected Origin as the game, not Sims 2, but the second lady just looked at my origin and didn't ask for a game code or anything. She was super friendly about it (to be fair, so was the first guy who said it wasn't available). Worth a shot before purchasing at least.

I think it's pretty funny. They are cartoons and there is no blood or gore. Think of it as a mellow version of Tom and Jerry :D . I have certain sims who hate eachother. I gave up making them be nice and now I just let them duke it out. If there were blood or anything like that it would not be enjoyable.

My first experience with this (this go round) was two of my second generation who were in college. I hadn't really been paying attention to the various relationships but for some reason, two of the kids (not related) did not get along. At all. They argued any time I wasn't watching them. Then one day, they got into a fight. I was like WHAT? After that, every time I played Uni, they had a fight. Every day. Sometimes more than one a day.

I never did figure out why. Now when they both come to weddings, I have to really keep an eye on them. If they look like the fists are coming out, I just have my host pull one of them away.

Dang. That's pretty life like. *laughs*
  • Exactly as my sims 3 sims are. There is not a day that my sims arguing or verbally fighting ahaha so in sims 2 it's good to have the same atmosphere even if Violence in real life isn't funny at all.
  • To be honest, I was hoping that nobody unironically voted ‘yes.’
