direct3d returned an error d3derr_invalidcall

Just got a new laptop and getting this error when trying to load into a household. What do I need to download/install to fix this? I've tried searching around and using Google, but a lot of suggesti...

    I think I fixed it. I had to go into Windows graphic settings and chose to run the game with the higher graphics card.

I am having the same issue how did you fix it? through Settings or through the Ea App?

Same. My game worked just fine 2 weeks ago and then, when i load into a lot, it loads normal for 5 seconds and then BOOM...... d3derr_invalidcall!

    I read on reddit if you try to turn off shadows in the game while on a community lot or unowned residential lot and then load into a occupied lot then it worked!
