How to set UK English via launch options?

Changing the registry settings did nothing and other people report the same. The EA Support Page says to use -l:<language> in the launch options to set this, which DOES work for other languages as I've tested Spanish, Norwegian, French, but I can't figure out what the command is for UK English?

I've tried everything I can think of, EnglishUK, UKEnglish, English_UK, UK_English, en_gb, en_GB, British, UK, I even tried UKEnglsh since that was used in SimCity4 allegedly... Am I being dumb and just missing something? Is it just an oversight? It obviously exists, its listed as a language on the EA game page and I have the UK English locale folders.

Please help lol, it's a small thing but so frustrating that it's fully there, just not accessible. Thank you!

Edit: someone on Reddit figured it out, its -l:"UK English" with the quotation marks :)

    While yes, the option to select UK English does exist, it is nearly useless as the UK English text strings are:

    • most of the time, simply the same as US English;
    • sometimes, old versions of US English text that should not be displayed anymore;
    • and the only things that actually DO change are 1. replacing links from TheSims2.com to TheSims2.co.uk - a webpage that doesn't work anymore -, and 2. a few exclusive songs on the "Housemix" and "Pop" radio stations that cannot be heard on the US English language game - but there are ways to extract and hear these in-game either way.

    A handful of mod creators add custom text strings to actually differentiate between US English and UK English, but that's about it.
