Has sims2 ever been free to download?? and if so or not, is there any talk that it may do??

You can definitly get the whole game and all expanasion packs for free with no disks. I asked about 20 times with diferent people, and one guy gave it to me. If they say 'they can't give the game away because there are no more codes' they are lying. He asked for my email then bam I had the sims 2. All I had to do was download the game!
