Game crashes immediately after CAS

I am having the same issue in the Legacy Edition. Can start the game just fine, but when trying to save a family in CAS, the game crashes with the "The application has crashed. The application will now terminate." notice.

Same here, as soon as I made my family the game crashed. My husband is laughing his ar#e off after telling me not to bother buying it. I'm laughing because it used to do this when I played it years ago. #nostalgia

On my end, it kept crashing multiple times during the Create-a-Sim. I've looked for multiple ways to troubleshoot, but nothing would work. It just kept crashing. Until I stumbled upon a Reddit thread mentioning to turn off shadows in-game. Mine were on highest resolution.  Once turned off, it worked, game stopped crashing. Even turned medium resolution shadows and game keeps going. I've played for the past 2 hours and no issues since. 👌

Yeah, this happened to me too, I closed the game and opened again and my family was there saved, so I didn’t bother much but then I noticed that my dog was gone, I believe these two problems are linked 

I'm having that same issue - very sad as I made a sim I really liked, and it crashed

Same thing happened to me. I have never played Sims or Sims 2 before, so I'm not even sure what kind of bugs to.expect. I do know, I was expecting it to at least run.
