Does EA Do Any Updates To Fix The Sims 2 Legacy?
No matter what I do, even in a completely vanilla game, meaning no mods, The Sims 2 Legacy, since I got it last year, crashes. Supposedly it had some patches done to fix things, at least the first few months of its release, but, it is still happening, it hasn't stopped. And I want to know if EA is actually even bothering with this game, even though they released it, as being updated to work with newer PC's and made us have to buy it again, to get these updates, have they bothered to keep up on it at all, or have they just abandoned it, even with people still buying the legacy one. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the game, hoping that maybe there was some new update to fix what is making it crash out of the blue, but, it makes no difference at all. So I want to know if I'm wasting my time even coming here to try and get EA to fix this game that I paid for again, or if I should just uninstall it and never install it again. Now I know EA doesn't even interact with us on here, no one who makes The Sims does, so I figure I am wasting my time, just as I do when I report problems with TS4. I mean TS3 also still crashes, even though they were supposed to have updated some stuff with it too, which did make it able to work on my newer PC, since before it wouldn't play at all, but it too crashes, so not that big a deal. But since TS2 Legacy is like a new game, it being released last year, I would think they would be supporting it at least, along with The Sims 1, which oddly enough, I haven't had any problems with. So again, I want to know if they are still supporting Legacy, and if not, well, that tells me that I wasted my money last year buying it, and it shows just how bad EA is.
Still paintings don't work in Sims 2 Legacy
When I want a Sim to paint another Sim / a portrait as a still life on canvas with the easel it doesn't work anymore. It worked fine with the ultimate collection and with the CD-ROMs. The frame for the still life is around the scene I want to be painted, but when the Sims paints, it's not the whole thing I selected, it's just a small part of it. You can see it in the screenshot. I always thought it was very nice, that my sims had big paintings of their family, wedding, kids, becoming a vampire etc. in their house, depending on their lifestyle. Does anybody else have that problem? For me it was a very important feature and I really hope it gets fixed.
Scroll Wheel Problem
Today I had to uninstall and install the sims 2 again because I uploaded Pleasantview and it had no houses. Now I have the problem that I need to keep pressed the Ctrl button and the scroll wheel of my mouse in order to adjust the camera to my liking. Before that I did not need the CTRL button. Is there a way to revert it back to the original way?
Secret Society not Triggering
The Sims 2 Legacy... So I have a Sim in Sim State University and they are not only friends 100 daily, but best friend 50+ lifetime with three Secret Society members, but have yet to be picked up by the limo and taken to the Secret Society hangout. This is not my first glitch with Sims in college. The first was when I was trying to move in a college Sim into the main neighborhood by my Sim inviting them to move in and the move in action wasn't fully completing. I fixed this with cheats, but what's going on that college is so broken for Legacy Edition? How can I fix the Secret Society glitch?sims 2 Alien Abduction
I have the sims 2 Legacy collection but the Alien Abduction isn't working I tried doing it the normal way, summon Aliens doesn't work and even using cheats didn't work and I couldn't get mods to work either every time it looks it's going to work but then nothing happens is there a way to fix this I really want more Alien sims in my neighborhood i have one but that's only because he's the son of stella who was already a sim in the collage bin please and thank youBugs inside the game that effects the sim
So a few days ago I noticed that I had a sim who thought she was pregnant, days went by and nothing. Tried to terminate the pregnancy by using the thumstone, but it was no use. tried to use the force debug but nothing happened. (she didnt want to go to work cause she was too pregnant to go to work...) So I went out of the game and tried to validate the game files in case there was something in the files that **bleep** up my game.. went in again, same problem. went to another family and they tend to lose their furniture everytime after being on a community lot. Anyone else had this problem? should i reinstall the game and see?
Sims 2 Collection unable to click to tell sims what to do
I was middle of gaming when I was unable to click on anything to tell my sims what to do. I can still click on objects if I am in buy mode and I can click through a sims info. This has happened in all my neighbourhoods. I've restarting family then the game. but it didn't work. I've tired the repair game button EA now has but nothing has worked please help.Personality Points Glitchy?
So I'm just now getting back into playing The Sims 2 and I've been playing the Legacy iteration of the game instead of Ultimate Collection due to it being better optimized. I have noticed some differences between Ultimate Collection and Legacy and don't know if these are known problems, fixable or just how it is now. One thing I noticed is the Personality Points being passed down from parent to child aren't lining up like they used it. You used to be able to see a child's Personality Points and trace them back to exactly which parent they got it from. For example if a child is very outgoing one of the parents must also be very outgoing as well and that's how the child inherited the Points. (sorry if I'm not explaining this well) With that said I started a new family to which they had a baby girl. When she aged to a child I looked at her Personality Points and all but one aren't aligning with the parents. She has 1 point grouchy when neither parent is grouchy...they are both nice. The same goes for her other Personality Points. None align with her parents. Child's Personality Points (the only thing that aligns is the Outgoing she inherited from her dad. Nothing else matches either parent) Dad's Personality Points Mom's Personality Points This doesn't seem like how it used to be. Is this a Legacy thing? Another thing I noticed is the first born baby glitch is fixed in Legacy without needing additional mods or fixes. Could that be contributing to this?Game stops Responding at Loading Menu?
Hi there! I have never had an issue with this game on my PC until now. I accepted a notification from Steam the other day to allow it to adjust the game or something of that nature. And now when I boot up the game, the loading menu will just stop responding every time. How do I correct this? Or have there been issues going on for a couple of months? I ask because I've taken a break to play Paralives recently. Thank you!
