Haven't been able to play game since launch. Crashes! NEEDS FIX
The Sims 2 Legacy Collection runs smoothly and fine for me, without cc and mods. HOWEVER after couple of MINUTES into my household of gameplay, it will randomly exit the game without saving. No glitching, no pop-up from windows and no error logs in any of the files to help me find the issue either. I've tried running as administrator, configuring the settings to windows 7. Either starting up from the desktop icon or even in the EA app it will still have this issue. I'm just going to default all the settings trying to make the game work. I REALLY HOPE THIS GETS FIXED! I MISS PLAYING MY OG GAME!
Please fix save issue and consider returning Life Stories + IKEA pack
Hello, dear Sims team, First of all, thank you for bringing back The Sims 2. For many of us, this game is more than just nostalgia — it’s a piece of our childhood. The new Legacy Collection is a wonderful gift, but as a longtime player, I’d like to share a few suggestions and heartfelt requests. Some technical issues still appear — for example, the installer window sometimes freezes or opens cropped, and the interface doesn’t scale properly on modern 2K/4K displays. It would be amazing if you could release a small patch to fix compatibility and improve stability. Please consider bringing back the IKEA Home Stuff pack. It was one of the most beloved additions because of its realistic, minimalist furniture. Maybe renewed cooperation with IKEA would make that possible again. Many fans would love to see The Sims 2: Life Stories re-released digitally, or as optional DLC for Legacy Collection. Those storylines were unique and very dear to players. Also, there’s an issue with saved families not being preserved — after quitting the game, all progress disappears, even if you exit properly through the main menu. It seems the save system doesn’t always work correctly in Legacy Collection. Possible fixes players have already tried: Running the game as administrator Creating the missing save folder manually in Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 2 Legacy Collection\Saves Installing the game outside Program Files (for example, C:\Games\Sims2Legacy) Turning off OneDrive sync for “Documents” Enabling compatibility mode for Windows XP (SP3) For many players, The Sims 2 remains the most heartfelt and atmospheric part of the series. We sincerely hope the game continues to receive support and won’t just be treated as a museum piece. Thank you for listening to your community and keeping this classic alive.
sims 2 legacy collection randomly crashes mid-game.
Hello, The Sims 2 Legacy Collection runs smoothly and fine for me, with and without cc and mods. But after an hour or so (sometimes less) of gameplay, it will randomly exit the game without saving. No glitching, no pop-up from windows and no error logs in any of the files to help me find the issue either. I've tried running as administrator, configuring the settings to windows 7, applying the 4gb patch, removing custom content/mods, but nothing seems to fix this error. It is frustrating losing my progress and then opening the game back to see it running smooth and fine. Until it inevitably exits the game again. Are there any solutions to this?
The sims 2 blurry UI
I am playing on 4K and the game on proper resolution (3840x2160) looks nice but UI looks so blurry and it really stands out. It looks like it isnt scaled properly which was not the problem in sims 2 collection, it looked crisp and nice so please fix this. I have seen other people also reporting this problem and i think it’s a pretty big one that shouldnt be happening. I cant enjoy the game with this UI.
Sims 2 Ultimate Collection missing
Hi everyone! I’ve had The Sims 2 Ultimate Collection for years, but after getting a new PC I went to reinstall it and noticed it’s missing from my EA library. It looks like it’s been replaced by The Sims 2 Legacy Edition, which now costs money? Is there any way I can get my Ultimate Collection back or access the Legacy Edition for free? I really don’t want to pay again for something I already owned
The Sims 2 Ultimate Collection has gone missing from EA App Library
Cross-posting to the EA App forums as it might be a better suited place for it. Hi, I've been a long time owner of The Sims 2 Ultimate Collection on EA app, and recently started playing again. It's been a few weeks since I last played, and now the EA app is not showing I own it in my library and on the store. Being that it's never been apart of EA Play, it's not because I'm no longer subscribed either. I have it in my EA App download history still, as evidence of owning it. There's no way for me to launch it through the EA app anymore, and no way to redownload it? Is the game I've purchased years ago no longer mine?
Game Crashes (without warning or error message)
Anyone else finding that their game will crash without warning after the new update? In the past whenever I've experienced the game crashing it has always come up with some variation of an error message and then I have to close it. This time the game loads generally fine (other than being a bit slow when The Sims 2 loading screen is displayed), it allows me to pick a world and start playing with a household and then without warning the screen will go black and the game shuts down. Then I'm left with the EA App still loaded like nothing had happened. This only started happening when I updated the game yesterday.
