Game going to a blue screen with a loading cursor

Hey there everyone!

I just recently got The Sims 2 Legacy Collection and I went to start playing it sometimes within in a couple of minutes or a couple of hours in it goes to a blue screen with a loading cursor multiple times during gameplay. I won't be traveling anywhere. I uninstalled and it still didn't fix it, I've tried repairing it, nothing. I even tried Googling it and couldn't find an answer. I'm just at a loss at this point.
