The Sims 2 Legacy Collection Crashing For No Apparent Reason?
HI! I just bought the sims 2 legacy collection and it will not stop crashing. I can open the game just fine and create neighrborhoods/use CAS perfectly fine, graphics are great, no issues, but every time I open a lot and try to get a sim to do anything it immediately crashes. I've checked my system requirements and I have more than enough memory and hard drive space, my graphics card meets the minimum requirements, and my processor is higher than the minimum requirement. I have also uninstalled and reinstalled, tried to repair the game, and tried a few community fixes to no avail. I also checked to make sure my graphics and audio drivers are fully updated, which they are. I don't have any old files for The Sims 2 installed on this computer so that isn't the problem either. There is no concieveable reason the game should be crashing. There is no error code when it crashes so I don't even know specifically how to target the issue. Does anyone know what might be going on? Update: I tried to uninstall/reinstall again and it deleted my whole game!? EA won't accept the gift code I used to purchase it again. This is a joke! Is this why theres no support line!? Because they are scamming people out of their money?
Patch note 9?
Does anyone have any news regarding any future patches? It has been over a month since the last patch and the game is still plagued with issues, even though most of them aren't game breaking and honestly the only issue I have currently is still the no typing in any text fields. I hope Maxis are still working on this game
Sims 2 Legacy Issues
I play The Sims 2 Legacy Edition on Steam without any mods and I couldn't finished the bug collection from Freetime, since it's one of the last left bugs since the last updates of the game I wasn't shocked, since it's the BUG collection. But I saw that one of my sim working as captain hero vanished after he came back from the work, only his wedding ring was visible, I felt the nostalgia deep into my core. Also the same sim went to an island trip and got burnt, he waited 2-3 days indoors while in trip time. He didn't recover it and now he has two kids since the incident, they know him as how hideous he looks. Also as a builder, I like to place some objects in 45 degree angles but, of course, sims also like to merge with the objects.
Can't Typing Thai Alphabet
Hello I'm having issues with the recently released Sims 2 Legacy game. This is a problem I've had since I bought the game. The problem is that I can't type Thai alphabet in character names or family stories, even though my game is in Thai. I tried the method from MBaturina10 forums. But it still doesn't work. My Thai letters are still invisible. If anyone has a solution to this problem please tell me. Thank you for your help.
Sims 2 Legacy on and off Lag
Been playing Sims 2 legacy for a few hours and everything was running fine, went to a community lot with a sim that owned the business, went back home and since the sim has been home I get constant on off lag only on my home lot and my computer sounds like its working harder. I can take my sim to any other location and the game runs fine but as soon as I get back to this sims home I get on off lag. Have gone into other families to see if they lag after going to the same lot but they all appear to be fine.
Sims 2 Legacy resolution scaling off
Hi all, I have had issues with the game's resolution being incorrect and being unable to get my in-game resolution settings to stick once the game was restarted, but with today's patch the resolution is still off (game is sized wrong and is cut off to the right side of the screen), and additionally the resolution options are grayed out in the settings. I have repaired and reinstalled my game, but this did not fix the issue, any ideas what it could be? Screenshots attached and PC Specs. AMD Ryzen 5 7600X AMD Radeon RX 7800XT 32GB Ram
Sims 2 Legacy crashes when playing Open for Business
So i was playing Sims 2 Ultimate Collection and had the same issue, when my sims would go their business and I'd play, it would soon crash and give the message 'The application has crashed. the application will now Terminate' When they released Sims 2 Legacy, I thought this would have been fixed as it had been updated for use on newer Windows. Unfortunately I am still getting this issue and no one else has mentioned this specifically, everyone else seems to be getting other issues or in different parts of the game. It works perfectly otherwise, it is only when i am playing Open for Business and that's my favourite part. Anyone else in the same boat or have any advice?
