Getting the Sims 2 to work on Windows 10? (DirectX 9.0 Error Message)

Hey guys, I've been trying for over a year to get my Ultimate Collection to run on my new Windows 10 laptop. I've done every tutorial on youtube available and NOTHING works. I still keep getting that...

I got it working! I found a tutorial on google to help put it in windowed mode! Yay! Thank you for all the help! I'm going to try and play for a bit to see if all is well.
