I need help with the sims 2 legacy. Ui small

The UI is horribly small! The whole game seems like it got minimized and I can't change it in settings  window size is grayed out and I can't touch anything there. All of the buttons and everything is WAY too small! Even clicking on things to do tasks is small. It wasn't like this last night. I wear prescription glasses and I am having to have my computer in my face. What's going on and how can I fix it? Please

You're not alone in this. I see the same issue going on with many (if not all) of the Sims 2 Legacy players with newer computers. I read the so called improvements to the game, and one was to make the game so tiny that it's worthless to anyone who is far sighted. It causes massive eye strain to try to build or modify a home with all the tiny trinkets, and even the furniture. I tried the graphics adjustment in the EA app, per EA, themselves. Nada. Using -w -r800x600 in the "Advanced launch options" won't fix a thing. Yeah, you can adjust the resolution numbers with the -w modification, but that change does nothing... nada... SmH... Why, oh, why do they think they're helping by not simply adding a wider range of graphics cards for the app to recognize? If the app recognized a graphics card, it will then the player could adjust the actual graphics. The bandaid they offered does nothing... useless... without affect... no change whatsoever... etc. C'mon EA! Get with it! I installed this game for my hubby yesterday. He was all excited to see what our family is so excited to play again. Nada. He's frustrated. Too tiny. Can't see anything due to the miniaturization of it all. This is seriously going to HURT the sale of this poorly revised game as word spreads amongst the Sims 2 community. Add in the laughable "chat" of the so called EA Help is beyond horrible. Everything seems to be left to AI, which isn't going to comprehend the depth of the issue. Sorry for the rant, but maybe, just maybe, if the stars align & I hold my tongue just right, an EA rep may read this... LOL! Ugh... For the love of gaming... Please, EA, FIX this issue!

  • I wish they could implement UI scalling in this game, I always scale it down a bit in Sims 4 since I find it covers too much of the screen but then there's people who need a bigger UI to properly play.

  • The actual game is fine. Loading screen and the UI are so tiny, I need a mouse to read it to me. Alt Enter got my resolutions back (they were grey right after the update).

I have just tried the 'alt+enter thing' it worked and ungreyed out the resolution but when i changed it nothing happened. Not only did they change it but the change is bugged AGAIN.

  • Same problem after the new update. Can’t change the resolution either.

I did the alt enter but it didn't change how small all of the text is. I reported it as a bug on the EA app but idk how to actually contact customer support. if this is not fixed I would like to ask for a refund  I can't play it at all. I'm not giving myself more eye strain and migraines that I already struggle with by putting my laptop in my face every time I have to click on the stove, or fridge, or a desk, or ANYTHING in this game. I cannot play a game I paid for and I'm upset. I didnt even complain sims 1 was completely unplayable and crashed every 5 minutes. I was content with paying for sims 2 alone but this is ridiculous
