You're not alone in this. I see the same issue going on with many (if not all) of the Sims 2 Legacy players with newer computers. I read the so called improvements to the game, and one was to make the game so tiny that it's worthless to anyone who is far sighted. It causes massive eye strain to try to build or modify a home with all the tiny trinkets, and even the furniture. I tried the graphics adjustment in the EA app, per EA, themselves. Nada. Using -w -r800x600 in the "Advanced launch options" won't fix a thing. Yeah, you can adjust the resolution numbers with the -w modification, but that change does nothing... nada... SmH... Why, oh, why do they think they're helping by not simply adding a wider range of graphics cards for the app to recognize? If the app recognized a graphics card, it will then the player could adjust the actual graphics. The bandaid they offered does nothing... useless... without affect... no change whatsoever... etc. C'mon EA! Get with it! I installed this game for my hubby yesterday. He was all excited to see what our family is so excited to play again. Nada. He's frustrated. Too tiny. Can't see anything due to the miniaturization of it all. This is seriously going to HURT the sale of this poorly revised game as word spreads amongst the Sims 2 community. Add in the laughable "chat" of the so called EA Help is beyond horrible. Everything seems to be left to AI, which isn't going to comprehend the depth of the issue. Sorry for the rant, but maybe, just maybe, if the stars align & I hold my tongue just right, an EA rep may read this... LOL! Ugh... For the love of gaming... Please, EA, FIX this issue!
