But if they started putting out new content with support for Sims 2, I would set it up and re-install UC in a heartbeat. I've been saying for years that I don't think EA realizes what they could make if they updated and started selling their older games. Much of their fanbase is over 30's who loved those games and have the money to spend.
Side note: If you changed the title to include your question, you'd get more responses. Sims 2 is like the holy grail around here. lol. - Seera10246 years agoSeasoned AceProbably not due to the number of hacks that would break whose creators have moved on from the community and may no longer have the time to update them.
- simmerLella6 years agoSeasoned AceYes, that could be awesome, but it depends on what they would make and if it'd match the quality of TS2.

One of the things that was great about Sims 2 though was that hacks and mods were never necessary. It was all fluff. Did I have some fluff I liked? Certainly. But I actually played it CC free until well after Sims 3 came out.
And if EA updated the game and started selling new content, I think modders would do what they've always done with new content, it wouldn't stop. - Yes, provided they stabilized the game a little bit as well. I still play TS2 and strangely enough, The Sims Medieval. lol
However, in regard to TS2 I do run into frequent crashing when using apartments, so I would want them to stabilize the game a little more before they added content to it. I love the ridiculous humor and unforgiving consequences of the TS2, though. I'm constantly hounding the devs to put more of TS2 in TS4. lol - Seera10246 years agoSeasoned Ace

No, not necessary for play.
But for me, they are necessary for how I like to play the game.
Which is why it's a probably because people might step up and update those old mods or create new mods to replace those mods from creators that don't return to the community. - Honestly, TS2 just needs NPC aging, lifespan and story progression to be a fully-complete RP game on par with TS4.
Shame it won't ever be done for business and marketing reasons, though. - SimsxZelda_fan6 years agoNew SpectatorIf the expansions were as poor and overpriced as Sims 4 expansions/game packs then no.
But I would love to see new building types for the downtown area, new holiday interactions, new season interactions & items, and of course new family/Parent&child interactions. - SheriSim6 years agoSeasoned AceNo, it was on my daughter’s system and we shared it till the computer couldn’t handle making magic, and it started crashing.

Making Magic wasn't Sims 2, it was Sims 1.
