Im getting the 'application has crashed and will now terminate ' message

That message, application has crashed and will now terminate, has something to do with the texture memory. I had that happen to me, and I play the disc version, but once I checked the texture memory, and then did stuff, I got it to where it no longer said 32mb, and the message stopped. Go to here, Documents\EA Games\The Sims 2\Logs or whatever it says for the legacy version and look for a config log file. Check to see what it says for texture memory. I don't remember what you have to do take care of that, but I hope this helps in some way.
