Ok, how do I fix them? First off, I can only play on 800x600 resolution. There's no other option. I could play on a bigger resolution on my laptop just fine! With the exact same version of Windows...

Did you use the Graphics Rule SGR app to change your resolution and get the game to recognize your chip or card? It's unfortunate but most new hardware is going to need that program to make the game see our cards since EA's list of cards supported ended with cards from Nvidia and ATI, Intel etc., in 2008. So the game thinks our newer cards are actually too old to run the game and why we all have to use the Graphics Rule Sgr program.
