New laptop questions.

Have finally got my new gaming laptop that I have been saving for two years for. Am so excited to be able to play sims 3 and a lot of the expansions. The question I'm asking is I have the sims 3 bundle that I bought from origin a couple of years ago but my daughter has given me her sims 3 discs which she has most of the expansions for. I know I can't use the discs along side the origin version so can I use the discs at all?
