ShadowtheShepard Unfortunately, I believe this is just a game limitation. However, you can still delete stairs using cheats, although it might be a little tiresome.
- Enable testing cheats (Press CTRL-Shift-C, type in boolProp testingCheatsEnabled true and press Enter)
- Hold Shift and click on each step on the affected staircase
- Select Force Error and then Delete.
You will have to delete each step one by one, but after that newly placed stairs should work. It's the only way I know of to get rid of them, but at least you don't have to get rid of your lots.
