IKR! I've just posted a post on it. EA is probably the worst company in terms of service. I use the disk sims 3 so that has no issues!
I have them all on disk but the issue is that with modern PCs, getting the disks to run properly or run at all can be very frustrating. Especially for sims 1 and 2. I spent ages researching and downloading patches and mods to get them to run properly. So when EA were rereleasing them, I was excited because it meant I wouldn't have to worry about patches or so I thought. The Sims 3 discs do work very well for me though too. No issues there.
