Sims 2 crashing

Been playing with a family all day - everything works fine. I just saved my file (luckily) however when the in game time got to 1.05 / 1.06 am it crashed 

I loaded up again, same thing happened at exactly 1.05 am

i have done this 3 more times and restarted laptop and EA app and this happens every time!!!

please help
