Sims 2 Legacy : 'Application has crashed, application will now terminate.'

Yup just happened to me. Just when I thought the game was running like it should it crashes. Took me forty minutes to begin playing because of loading screens and lagging. The sims 1 game wont even start, to put a $40 dollar price tag on the bundle and for this not to work properly has me unhappy. 

I’m having the same issue and my computer is a beast. :/

Having the same error when my sim gets back from work. Hope they fix this soon. I'm not able to play that family anymore.

In Steam I verified my game files, 5 files were removed, then I was able to play without crashes. Hope this helps! 

This is also happening for me, Legacy Edition as well. Doesn't seem to be a certain action for me, just randomly.

same. hoping this is something they can fix. i want a refund at this point :(

I am also having this issue. It seems to happen randomly for me, not during a certain action or screen. 

I am also have this exact same issue. Loading my family, it crashes. And it has also crashed with the same exact message during gameplay. I have played 3 hours and I have had it crash 4 times. 
Thank god I save all the time.

Im having the same issue i really hope ea fixes this problem if not ill probably request a refund because this is ridiculous, let me know if you find a fix for this pleaseee

Having the same issue after creating a family :/
