Sims 2 Legacy : 'Application has crashed, application will now terminate.'

Yep same - having to get into the habit of saving every few mins otherwise I lose loads of progress. So irritating.

I have this issue randomly after some minutes of play. Yesterday I managed to play for a couple of hours with no issues, but now it just crashed after selecting a family to play with. 

Having the same issue.. luckily my family was saved at least 

I'm also having this issue. Crashes upon arriving home from work in carpool. My sim is level 5 in the Architecture career, so he's gone to work many times. Just randomly started. It's very disappointing. 

Mine is crashing at about 30 minutes gameplay without fail 

I experienced the same bug while creating a family in a new hood.

Same issue here. I've played few hours and everything was good, and now I cannot play on my Neighborhood. I've tried create second family in another neighborhood, but it crashed anyway.

I'm wondering if the dxvk https://github.com/doitsujin/dxvk/releases would work for this version? It works for the ultimate collection version and fixes the issues with directx.

Same issue here. I am starting to feel extremely stressed about this...

Same issue, first crash after creating the family and now its also crashing when my pet dog comes home from work. Saved when he went to work so now the family is unplayable because it will 100% crash when the dog arrives home. It's a reproducible error for many people they should be able to figure this out....
