SIMS 2 LEGACY COLLECTION NO NEIGHBOURHOODS / CRASHING?

Hi, I've been trying to work this out for ages. I refunded it on EA and got it on Steam instead. I go to load the Sims 2 Legacy Collection. It tells me I'm on low disk space which is far from the truth as I have PLENTY.

Then I load up the game and suddenly there's no neighbourhoods? I don't see any templates either for creating them and trying to load into the tutorial as well just causes my game to crash.

Has anyone come up with a fix? I spent $50 AUD.. TWICE! Waiting for my refund so $100 is gone. :/
I'd really like to play this weekend before I'm back on Monday - Friday shifts.

  • I had the same problem. I realised that the Window Security just blocked the game, so the game folder cannot be created in the (my) document. Please check the window security message, and click 'allow' the Sims 2 (.exe). Then, the game will run like normal with all neighbourhoods and functions.

    Hi all,

Thanks for your patience while we've investigated into this issue- Have you moved the game's .exe, the game data folder, or the install folder to a new path or location after you installed it?

    Please try the following steps:

    1. If you were able to create save data, be sure to back that up
    2. Uninstall The Sims 2 from the EA app
    3. Reinstall your game through the EA app
    4. Without making any changes to location, try running the game directly from your EA app library or from the desktop shortcut

If this doesn't clear up the error, your system may not meet the minimum specs required. In this case, you can contact the live support team here to get a refund processed.
