Sims 2 Legacy Edition - Minimising when Multitasking

Hi all!

I'm really thrilled to have the new birthday bundle of our favourite Sims games, however I've noticed that if I click on a different app (Discord, Chrome etc) on my second monitor with Sims 2 in the first monitor it minimises the game. It's just a little confusing and could become difficult while streaming etc so just wondered if anyone has found a setting or a way around this? I checked all the settings and have made sure Sim while minimised is off to prevent my sims running havoc but can't find anything else? 

Any help much appreciated!
