Sims 2 Not Launching EA Play

Still having issues with my Sims 2 game not launching in EA Play. I cleared the cache folders and ran both EA Play and the game as administrator, but still seeing the error. Any advise is welcome, th...

    Hey everyone, it’s me again! I finally found a way to make it work for me. I fixed the graphic with Graphic Rules Maker and after that I run the game as admin with compatibility mode for Windows Vista (Service Pack 2). Hopefully this information will be helpful for more people!

@annacomputerwiz @Tremayne4260 I’ve tried both options you guys gave, still getting the “Your game failed to launch” error. I really don’t know what to do anymore, the game worked perfectly on Origin and now it won’t open no matter what I do, it’s very frustrating to say the least.

    Hi! Sorry i made this post and abandoned it, jsut resigned to the fact that I'll never play sims 2 again ☹️ is graphic rules maker a mod? do i need to install something separately for windows vista service pack 2?

      @farabedr , Graphics Rule Maker is sort of a mod, but you do not put it in your game. It takes the graphics card information from your Sims 2 game files and adds the information to the game for newer graphics cards that have been created since the Sims 2 was originally released. 

      You should be able to Google search for the program and the site has pretty detailed instructions on how to set it up and use it.
