I'm with you. There are things I like in Sims 4 -- most notably the Household Management system -- but despite being released 14 years later, it can't begin to compare favorably with Sims 2. Yes, Sims 2 had its flaws, but overall, it was the most enjoyable simming experience for me of all the games. The original was fun. Sims 3 didn't work with my rotational play style. Sims 4 is do-able, but a huge disappointment.
