Sims2 Not Launching?. Brand New Files.

Hi everyone! I'm not sure if anyone has had this same issue with the Sims2 not fully launching. I've clicked it through the desktop icon, through the EA app, and tried running it as administrator. Once it starts the launcher I can see it pop up onto my taskbar as active then it zoomes in on my home screen on my PC and just stays there. It prevents me from clicking on anything or leaving said "launcher". The only option to try again is to restart my PC. Does anyone have any idea what the issue could be? . I just bought the Sims2 + Ultimate collection from the anniversary sale on the EA app (Digital Copy. No disk sadly). 

I tried downloading the Osap? tutorial installation, and it worked, but it didn't save my game. Regardless, if anyone could help me get the EA version to work or share any tips, I'd appreciate it. I play Windows 8 and 10 on my PC's.
