I agree that EA should look into this and rectify it, but in the meantime you can use workarounds.
From the Windows / Start Icon, type "Graphics Settings" and Click the results from System Settings.
Click Desktop App.
Browse your application. If your application is not on the list, you will need to browse for the folder where the .exe file is located.
Click on the application name/icon.
Click Options.
Set the application to your preferred GPU.
Click save.
