The Sims 2 Ultimate Collection on EA App Desktop

Hello!

I was wondering when will EA migrate The Sims 2 Ultimate Collection from Origin to the EA App Desktop? I love TS2 and I want to keep playing it and I don't want to lose it from my library, but I'm a little apprehensive about whether EA will actually do this migration. The game already appears in the EA App library, but it gives an error when downloading.

    Guys, good news they fixed the issue and The Sims 2 Ultimate Collection shows up on the EA App to download & install now if you own it. What a relief.

    @mate54 Yes i I posted a screen showing my installed sims2 UC. I have been playing it with no problems via ea app. I did have to download it through origin however for it to install on my pc again. Thank you for verifying the offline mode as that is what I had thought but hadn't confirmed.

    @Bluegayle This is probably a dumb question, but what did you mean by you had to download it through origin for it to install on your pc again? Did you have to do this so that the game would work on the EA App?

    @Yummy48 Yes I had to redownload Origin then dl and install Sims2. Then when I went back to EAapp it was there ready to play. And no not a dumb question 😊

    So, if we install the game via Origin....It gets fixed in the EA app?

    It is permanently?

    I´ve just downloaded the Sims 2 Ultimate Collection via Origin and it seems that is installed.

    Gonna try it now a bit and I´ll tell you if it works

    By the way, when we´ll uninstall Origin, would the "Origin games" file disappear?

    I only have The Sims 4 and The Sims 2 Ultimate Collection there, but I was just guessing.

    The Sims 3 and The Sims 3 Pets (wich I bought in a bundle some years ago) appeared in both platforms, but in the EA app I cannot see the special reward that came with the bundle (it was a pet shop with exclusive items)

    Did I lost it in the EA app?

    @ARP1922 For sims3 you will have to go to the sims3 website and download the petshop there. It should be in your purchase history. Sims3 store content is very frustrating right now. Some will install some wont and then sometimes those that do install don't show up ingame. I think it took me three or four tries to get the pet store. If you check out other threads they discuss 3's content problems

    @Bluegayle Ok, so I tried to play with The Sims 2.

    It worked perfectly to a point, but after that it gave me an error message and closed.

    I don´t know where is the problem but I guess is unplayable in Windows 10 ☹️

    PD: Ok, I´ll try that for the pets shop. Thanks!!

    @ARP1922 I'm playing 2 in Wind 11 and played it in 10 You may have to play it in compatibility mode Also in the settings for the ea app you can clear cache Click on Help in app and then App recovery. Hopefully that will help. Old games can be a pain at times.

    @Bluegayle I´ve cleaned the cache for the EA app right now, so I´m going to try.

    About the compatibility mode, wich one should I use? Windows 7?
